While these models have not been tested by the authors, they do cite many studies to support these each of these ideas/models. (for details, see the article).

Relevance to Canadian Context:

While this article that discusses three innovative models relies on international literature (most of which is from US), these models would certainly be applicable to Canadian context given that women physicians in Canada face same issues as female physicians elsewhere (e.g., insufficient numbers of women in leadership roles; lack of pay equity,etc.)

Other Important Information:

One of the suggestions includes and implicit bias training for recruitment.
