Sustainable workforce management

Shortages of physicians are an acute health system crisis. Increased staffing and access to allied healthcare professionals could help to better distribute the workload that physicians are currently facing. More sustainable workforce management may also help to address some of the barriers that physicians encounter to taking a Leave of Absence when they are struggling with illness.
